I take a lot of photos with both my camera and my mobile, often very similar ones. But what my camera can't do is take panorama shots - you might argue that neither can I! They tend to sit in storage and I never do anything with them, so finally here are a few panorama shots from my trips, some less successful than others...mostly taken on a cheap Oppo phone bought in an emergency when my Samsung packed up while in Morocco.

Knisja ta 'San Publiju (Saint Publius Parish Church) from Pjazza San Publiju formerly The Granaries
Floriana, Malta

The circular stone objects in the square in front of the church had me puzzled and I wondered if they were the ruins of a building with columns but they seemed too regular. Mystery solved and it lies in the former name of the square. They are in fact pits covered by circular stone slabs once used to store grain and were built within the fortifications during the rule of the Knights of Malta in case of a siege. They proved their worth again during World War II when Malta was again cut off from the outside world and at severe risk of starvation. Valletta street scene
Valletta, Malta

This is a view from South Street in Valletta. The columns on the right are on the site of the Royal Opera House which was destroyed by bombing during World War II but is now an open air performance venue. There was considerable debate in Malta as to whether the opera house would be restored or not and it was eventually decided not to.
